Aubrey Carl Girard

Aubrey Carl Girard, age 77, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. at U.P. Health Sytem - Marquette. He was born on July 30, 1937 in Marquette, the son of Carl and Lurley (Lampmen) Girard. Aubrey entered the U.S. Army and served from 1954-1956. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to Marquette and joined Iron Workers Local 783. In 1968, Aubrey married Sandra LaJeunesse and they lived in Beaver Grove and raised twin daughters, Michelle and Christine. Aubrey was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time at Camp Bushy.

Aubrey is survived by his wife of forty-six years - Sandra Girard; daughters - Michelle (David) Paajanen and Christine (Tim) Wiser; brother - Terris (Janice) Girard; grandchildren - Clara Wichmann-Paajanen, Anthony (Stephanie) Wirth, Dakota Bruce, and Jacob Bruce; and great-granddaughter - Aria.
