Jean Lucille Nevarez

Jean Lucille Nevarez, age 51, of Munising, Michigan, died unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday morning, June 16, 2015. She was born on November 15, 1963, in Flint, Michigan to Robert Edmunds and Delores Koontz. Jean graduated from Manistique High School in 1980. She married Romaldo Nevarez on September 10, 1983. She was a great friend and mother to her children Eric and Marlena. They lived in Dripping Springs, Texas where she worked as a concepts of care home nursing aide for many years, and then for a short time when they moved back to the U.P. She enjoyed her family and helping others with babysitting.

She is survived by her husband of thirty-one years - Romaldo Nevarez of Munising; two children - Eric Nevarez and Marlena Nevarez both of Munising; aunts - Diane Gillman and Donna Hill; sister - Michele Hayward; niece and nephew - Angela and Nathan Hayward. She is preceded in death by her mother - Delores Vanatta; father -Robert Edmunds; and granddaughter - Chloe Jean Nevarez.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the Munising Baptist Church in Wetmore, Michigan from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Pastor Ted Jolls will conduct a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Jean's obituary and tribute wall may be viewed and signed at bowermanfuneralhome.net.
