Shirley Renee (nee Goodrich) Cromell, age 60, of Munising, died unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, January 14, 2015 at her home following a brief illness. She was born on September 2, 1954 in Munising, to the late Cecil and Betty (Humphrey) Goodrich. Shirley graduated from Eben High School. In her younger years she enjoyed horses, softball, darts, throwing horseshoes, and arm-wrestling. Later on in life, Shirley cherished the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law - Richard and Leslie Goodrich of Green Bay; husband - Nick Cromell of Munising; grandchildren - Devyn, Emma, Kynlee, and Elliot; siblings - Diane of South Carolina, Ceil of Chatham, Paula of Cincinnati, OH, and Lorne (Julie) Goodrich of Munising; mother-in-law - Pat Cromell of Munising; and numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Betty.
Private family services will be held at this time, and a public graveside service will held at the Maple Grove Cemetery on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 3:30 p.m.. The service will be officiated by Rev. Sandra Kolder.
