Arvilla Arlene Passinault of 107 Ridgewood Dr. Marquette, MI, and formerly of Munising, entered into eternal rest on Dec. 15th, 2006, at Marquette General Hospital. Born in Munising Oct. 24th, 1926 to Albert and Violet Cota, Arvilla was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.
She lived for giving great love to her children and grandchildren. She always reserved Sundays at camp for her family to come together and enjoy their favorite cookouts. She took great pleasure in cooking for large family gatherings, especially during the Holidays. All of her family and friends cherished her one of a kind gingersnaps and oatmeal cookies. Arvilla enjoyed knitting slippers for family members, crossword puzzles and fishing at camp.
For 27 years Arvilla worked beside her husband, Lester, owning and operating Lester's Jewelry in Munising. In retirement, she enjoyed wintering in Arizona with Lester, with whom she shared 59 years of loving and devoted marriage. Arvilla and Lester were members of St. Louis the King in Harvey and former members of Sacred Heart in Munising.
Arvilla is survived by her husband Lester Passinault, as well as children David (Sue) Passinault of Munising, Larry (Lynn) Passinault of Munising, Janice (John) Arball of Gaylord, Arlene (Chris) Waatti of Imlay City, grandchildren Tonja (Passinault) Mills, Troy Passinault, Trent Passinault, Jennifer (Arball) Turner, John J. Arball, Amanda Passinault, Neil Passinault, and Emma Waatti. Arvilla was preceded in death by her daughter Laura Jean Passinault.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 21, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Munising. Interment will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery. A time for fellowship and visiting with family and friends will be held in the LaMothe Hall following Arvilla's services.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hemodialysis Center at Marquette General Hospital or to the National Kidney Foundation.
