Mrs. Barbara "Barb" Ann Mills (Spurlin) died peacefully surrounded by family in her home on October 27th in Munising, MI at the age of 62.

Barb is survived by her Husband; William Mills, her seven children; Elizabeth Imhoff (Scott) , Benjamin Mills (Audrey), Jonathan Mills, Jacob Mills (Chelsey), Joshua Mills, Jewell Mills, and Joyann Luithly (Brett), her seven grandchildren; Lillee Imhoff, Grace Imhoff, Isaiah Imhoff, Liberty Imhoff, Zyriene Mills, Rhian Mills, Caleb Mills, Nathan Mills, with number eight due in March, her mother; Linda Spurlin, her two sisters; Janet Oachs and Philis Niemi. She is preceded in death by her father; Guy Spurlin, and her siblings; Timothy Spurlin and Faith Nelson.

Barb was born on July 15, 1956 in Duluth, MN to Guy and Linda Spurlin. She graduated from Cloquet Senior High School in 1974. After which she attended University of Wisconsin Superior graduating in 1979 with a teaching certificate K-12 and a Bachelors in Performing Arts, Vocal and Instrumental (Violin).  She married her high school sweetheart William Arthur Mills on June 23, 1979. While living in Cloquet she had her first two children. She played in the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra before moving to Munising MI in November of 1985 where she had her five more children.

She devoted her life to her family, homeschooling her children and grandchildren for 30+ years. She faithfully served in her church and shared her love for God with those around her. She loved living in the Munising area and raising her family in the U.P.

Services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 at the North Iron Church in Ishpeming (910 Palms Avenue.)   Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.  Pastor Mark Broberg will conduct Barb’s funeral service at 4:00 p.m.
