Beverly Ann Cole, age 92, of Gladstone and formerly of Munising, died on Sunday afternoon, February 8, 2026 at Christian Park Village in Escanaba. Bev was born on August 1, 1933 in Pontiac, Michigan to Lloyd and Mae (Corey) Deo. She graduated from Pontiac High School and worked at JCPenney. Bev married Donald Streeter in 1957, and her children Donny and Brenda were born. On June 23, 1963, she married Andrew “Andy” Cole and their family grew by the birth of her daughter, Vicky. The Cole family moved to the Upper Peninsula and lived on Corner Lake with other family members in the neighborhood. Bev worked at the Midway as a cook, waitress, and bartender. She then started employment at Superior Shores in housekeeping and then the kitchen. In the mid 1980’s, Bev moved to Naperville, Illinois where she was the receptionist at Dr. DiMonda’s Chiropractic Health and Wellness Center. She retired and returned home to the U.P. in 1997. Bev was a member of the Munising Baptist Church and the Moose Lodge. She loved Young and the Restless and everyone knew NOT to call during the program. She also enjoyed reality shows and working on puzzle books and crossword puzzles. Family and extended family were always important to Bev.
She is survived by daughters – Brenda (Gary) Seigneur of Bullhead City, AZ and Vicky Caron of Gladstone; grandchildren – Dustin (Jun) Mozader of Munising, Whitney (Garret) Lightfoot of Colorado Springs, CO, Lindsay (Cory) Ostrander of Gladstone, and Raymond (Jon) Martin of Waukegan, IL; great grandchildren – Sarina, Arianna, Elaina, Grady, and Peyton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bev was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Mae Deo, infant son Donny Streeter, infant granddaughter Carrie Mozader, and sisters Betty Barabas and Fay Kruszewski.
Services will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home in Munising on Sunday, February 15, 2026. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Pastor Jason LaFlamme will conduct Bev’s funeral service in the funeral home’s chapel at 3:00 p.m. A fellowship gathering will take place following the service at the Munising Baptist Church. Interment will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in the spring.
