Carol N. Revord, age 62, of Bayberry Lane, Christmas, died at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at her home under the care of her family and Northwoods Hospice following a four month illness. She was born on May 10, 1944 in Newberry to Theodore and Viola Gladys (Johnson) Fox. Carol grew up in Munising, attended Wm. G. Mather High School, and graduated from the Tahquamenon Area Schools. She married Raymond "Butch" Revord on November 8, 1961. Carol earned her nurse's aide certificate from War Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie. She had worked at Munising Memorial Hospital, Helen Newberry Joy Hospital, and the Superior Health Haven as an aide. Carol was also the receptionist for Murphy's Creek Forest Products in and had worked at the Day's Inn and Super 8. She attended Sacred Heart Church, and enjoyed camping, hunting, being outdoors, and baking.
Carol is survived by her husband of over forty-four years - Raymond "Butch" Revord of Christmas; daughter and son-in-law - Glady and Ned Stockert of Woonsocket, RI; son and daughter-in-law - Raymond D. and Christine Revord of Christmas; grandchildren - Melinda and Tracy Yeadon, Christopher Stockert, and Donna, Joseph, and Kimberly Revord; step-grandchildren - Gus, Mariah, Alex, and Victoria; great-grandson - Casey Yeadon; sisters - Norma (John) Womble of Irvine, CA and Deanna (Marlin) Schaeffer of Landers, CA; brother - Leonard (Beverly) Fox of Livonia; in-laws - Rosalie and John Ruska of Kiva; and numerous nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Karen Marie Revord in 1965, and a brother Richard Fox.
Visitation will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home on Friday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Father Chris Gardiner will conduct Carol's funeral service in the funeral home's chapel on Saturday, September 2, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising.
