Chester J. Litzo

Chester J. Litzo, age 87, of Munising and formerly of Chicago died Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at the Superior Health Haven. He was born November 27, 1920 to the late John and Bertha (Kalas) Litzo. Chester attended Our Lady of Peace and Lane Tech High School. He was a WWII veteran, serving in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946 where he served two years in Italy as a radio technician. Chester worked for Zenith Electronic Corporation for thirty-seven years as a tool and die maker.
He is survived by nephews - Greg Litzo of Munising, Wayne and Bruce Litzo of Wetmore, Jerry (Alice) Litzo of Crystal Lake, IL; nieces - Joyce (Frank) Angerame of Sarasota, FL, Norberta (Wayne) Vosgerau of Chicago, IL; sister-in-law - Ida Litzo of Tamarac, FL; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Chester was preceded in death by his parents - John and Bertha; and four siblings - Harry, Johnny, Elizabeth and Phillip Litzo.
Father Chris Gardiner will conduct Chester's Funeral Mass on Friday, December 28, 2007; at Sacred Heart Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Mary Hill Cemetery in Niles, IL.
