Cibble Mae Golisek

Cibble M. Golisek, age 93, of Connors Road in Munising, died on Thursday afternoon, November 26, 2015 at the Tendercare Health Center in Munising. She was born at a fishing and logging camp near Fort Frances, Ontario on April 26, 1922 to Charles and Eva (Niedzwiecki) Wilderspin. Cibble grew up and attended school in Munising. On March 3, 1940, she married Theodore "Bud" Golisek and together they raised their five children. During WWII, the family moved to the Detroit area while Bud worked at Aeronautical Products. After the War, they returned to Munising. Cibble was a homemaker and after Bud retired, she worked as a waitress at Ziegert's. Cibble was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Church and taught catechism classes. She was a talented seamstress and baker and would sew wedding gowns and bake wedding cakes. She loved cooking for the entire family on 4th of July celebrations.

She is survived by her children - Robert (Marilyn) Golisek of Paw Paw, Roberta (Jack Witty) Giese of Munising; Donna (Bob) Debnar of Roswell, GA, and Jodi-Lynn (Frank) Golisek Nelc of Neenah, WI; daughter-in-law - Janet Harger of Columbus, Kansas; brother - Charles "Spin" Wilderspin; nine grandchildren - Robert Leland (Terri Mathis) Golisek, Julie (Jeff) Woodworth, Sharyl Golisek, Daniel (Wendy) Giese, Dale Giese, Michael (Kristin) Debnar, Nicholas Davis, Melissa (Michael) Van der Burgt, Michelle (David) Deardorff; great-grandchildren - Courtney, Kendall, Kyle, Ryan, Reese, Kimberly, Brianna, Desirea, Miranda, Jack, Charlie, Landon, Matilda, Mason, Madden, Maxwell, Hunter, and Patrick; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cibble was preceded in death by her parents, husband of over sixty-five years, Bud who died on March 30, 2005; their son - Leland "Butch" Golisek on March 10, 1973; granddaughter - Victoria (Davis) Frank; father and mother-in-law - Szymon "Sam" and Pelagia "Pearl" Golisek; brothers and sisters-in law - Geraldo "Jerry" Wilderspin, Regina "Argene" Golisek; Genevieve (Aelred) Trombly; Jasnina "Jenny" Percy; Lillian (Edward) Gerwatowski; Carl (Lois) Golisek; Conrad Golisek, Pearl "Tootsie" (Richard) Gerwatowski, and Rose Golisek.

Visitation will be at the Bowerman Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. A Parish Vigil Service and time of sharing remembrances will be held at 7:00 p.m. Father Chris Gardiner will celebrate her funeral Mass on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Munising. A fellowship gathering will take place in LaMothe Hall following the funeral. Interment will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising at a later date.
