Cynthia R. Wojtowicz, age 70, of Shingleton, died unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, January 31, 2026. She was born in St. Paul, Minnesota to the late Clyde and Marian (Moritz) Cockrell. Cynthia grew up in the St. Paul and Demontreville. She married her high school sweetheart Joseph M. Wojtowicz and together they raised their two kids. Cynthia worked as the head chef at the Gasthaus Bavarian Hunter a German restaurant in Stillwater for many years before working for Kodak in their shipping and receiving department. In 2010, she moved to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to be near her mother and sisters. Cynthia and Joe loved music and they enjoyed going to many concerts, her favorite was Van Morrison. Cythina also enjoyed the peace and quiet of home in the UP, she loved to work in her flower garden and feed and watch the many birds that would visit year-round at her feeders. She especially was happy to see the hummingbirds when they came back each year. Cynthia also enjoyed crafts like macramé and cross-stitching and was a talented drawer.

She is survived by her children – Cora (Steve Marino) Spaeth of New Richmond, WI and Nathan (Jessica) Wojtowicz of Forest Lake, MN; grandchildren – Maddie Marino, and Jordan and Autmn Wojtowicz; sisters – Cheryl (Jim) Albright, Sandy (Dale Kirmo) St. Martin, and Kay Palmatier-Cockrell; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents – Clyde and Marianne; husband – Joe; and granddaughter – Jayla Wojtowicz.
