Munising
Danyel Renee Oas, age 35, formerly of Munising, died in an unexpected accident on Saturday afternoon, October 21, 2017. She was born in Munising on July 17, 1982 to Donald and Cathy Oas. Danyel attended school in Manistique and then Munising High School. She enjoyed drawing and photography, and hunting with hounds and cooking venison.
She is survived by her sons – Devin and Dylan Moore of Munising and Blake Shrove of Escanaba; parents - Cathy (Eddie) Davis of Wetmore and Don Oas of Van Meer; siblings – David (Courtney) Oas of Munising, USAF S/Sgt. Craig Oas of Vogelweh, Germany, Heather Davis of Las Vegas, NV, and Kurt Davis of Ann Arbor, MI; grandparents – Dick and Bev Oas; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Danyel is preceded in death by her grandparents – Betty and Adolf “Bus” Grunfeld.
Visitation will be at the Bowerman Funeral Home on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Pastor Ann Gonyea will conduct Danyel’s memorial service at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
