David W. Carr, Sr.

David William Carr, Sr., age 72, of Belleville, Michigan, died Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Medilodge of Munising, Michigan.  He was born on October 8, 1950 in Trenton, Michigan to the late William and Mildred (Harris) Carr. Dave graduated from Huron High School in 1968.  He worked for many years as a tool and die maker for Eaton Corporation, Lincoln Park Engineering, and retired from LAM Engineering in 2013.  Dave loved classic cars and hotrods and watching Detroit sports on TV.  He enjoyed going to many car shows and tinkering in his garage on his 1972 Buick.  Dave also enjoyed fishing, riding dirt bikes, and working on and talking about all things mechanical with his lifelong friend Paul Fraiser.

He is survived by his children – David (Angi) Carr, Jr., Steven Carr, Michael Carr, and Wendy Carr-Kuehn all of the Belleville area; grandchildren – Brookelynn (Robert) McPeak, Michael (Samantha) Carr, Jr., Miranda  Carr, Levi William Carr, and Katheryn and Edward Kuehn; siblings – Kathy Carr, William Carr, and Terry Carr-Munger; nieces and nephews – Tonay Carr, Lindsey Cobb, Daniell and Nicole Carr, and Jeremy and Holly Munger.  David was preceded in death by his parents Mildren Carr and William Carr, and son-in-law  Edward Kuehn.
