Delores Lee Thompson, age 65, of Johnson Road,Van Meer, died Wednesday morning, February 28, 2007 at Munising Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 24, 1941 in Munising to Raymond and Myrtle (Barker) Perry. She graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School. Delores married William "Bill" Thompson and she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Wesleyan Church and enjoyed collecting knick-knacks. When Delores was younger, she always wanted to design clothes.
Delores is survived by her parents, husband of 46 years Bill; five children - Babby (Michael) Baker of Tampa, FL, Bill Thompson, Jr. of Van Meer, Ramona Reetz of Pickford, Brenda (Marc) Rousseau of Stanton, MI, and Bob Thompson of Sault Ste. Marie; four grandchildren - Anthony, Stephanie, Jonathon, and Rosalin; brothers - David, Jeffrey, Timmy, Bobby, and Todd Perry; sisters Edna Paine and Cindy Hoy; and numerous nieces and nephews. Delores was preceded in death by her grandson Christopher Reetz and a sister Sandy Fetterhoff.
A memorial service will be conducted by Pastor Robert Tripp on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at the Wesleyan Church in Alger Heights.
