Donna Jean Hase

Donna Jean Hase, age 66, of Munising, died unexpectedly and peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. She was born the youngest of eight children on Deember 8, 1959 in Munising to the late Donald and Lorraine (Lukowski), Hase, Sr. Donna grew up in Munising and graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School in 1979. She became a Certified Nurse Assistant and cared for residents of Superior Shores, Tendercare, and Medilodge as a CNA and housekeeper for over forty-three years before retirement. Donna loved gardening and she had the most beautiful flower gardens. She was also a great cook. Donna loved people and spent her life caring for others. She lovingly cared for her mom for many years. Donna loved taking rides and caring for her nieces and nephews. Aunt Donna LOVED spoiling them, especially at Christmas and she was special to all of them.

She is survived by her siblings - Nancy Rzanca, JoJo (Ken) Rzanca, Paul Hase, and Bill (Mary) Hase; nieces and nephews - Bradley Hase, Christine Ellis, Kelly (Kurk) Lawrey, Maria (Jason) Stempien, Leanna (Pete) Stockoski, Barbie Rzanca, Heidi Rzanca, Deanna Hase, Nicholas Hase, Nicole (Scott) Baker, Sheena (Chip) Malone, and Billy Hase; numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews; and many cousins.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Lorraine Hase, brother Donald Hase, Jr., sisters Candy Duer and Lisa Hase Hebert, brother-in-law Andy Rzanca; nephew Donald “D.J.” Hase and nieces Jennifer McGlone and Missy Rzanca.
