Dorothy J. Anthony (nee Clinton), age 75, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Tendercare Health Center in Munising. She was born on October 26, 1941 in Detroit, MI. Dorothy grew up in Marquette and graduated from Graveraet High School in 1959. Following graduation, she moved to California and lived there for twenty-five years, before moving back to Gladstone.
Dorothy was an award winning artist, creating many beautiful oil paintings. She also participated in the creation of the mural of Gladstone, painted on the exterior of the senior center. A longtime resident of Gladstone, she was a devout Catholic, and a member of All Saints Church. Her family wishes to thank her friends who helped and visited her. Their kindness and compassion will always be remembered. We would also like to thank the staff at Tendercare-Munising, for their excellent care throughout the past year.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Margueritte (Dutchie) Revord, and Cecil Clinton, and one sister, Charline (Crothers) Bozek. She leaves her sisters Jackie Steinke, (Erve), and Judi Surhigh, (Frank), and step siblings Karen, Angel, Rose, Gary and Steve, from the Revord family.
A Mass will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone. Interment was at Northland Chapel Gardens in Negaunee.
