Elvera “Muggins” Koper, age 95, of Munising died peacefully at her home on Monday morning, October 29, 2018.  She was born in Munising on November 22, 1922 to Leo and Florence (Sommerville) Peters.  Muggins married Raymond Koper on February 13, 1943 and the lived and worked in Lower Michigan.  They returned to Munising in 1998.  Raymond preceded her in death on December 2, 2008.

Muggins is survived by her siblings -  Lois Schimmel, Donna McNally, Jack Peters, Norman Peters, Ed (Iryna) Peters, and Doug (Roxanne) Peters; in-laws – Helen Peters, Eleanor Peters, Rose Peters, and Ron Aho; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond, sister Beverly Aho, and brothers Leo, Eugene, Russell, Charles, Robert, and Ronald.
