Munising
Everet V. McNally, age 66, of Munising, died Monday, June 9, 2025 at his home under the loving care of his family following a ten-year battle with cancer. Everet was born on June 3, 1959 in Marquette to the late Clifford and Marilyn (Lung) McNally. He grew up in Munising and attended Wm. G. Mather High School. Everet served in the U.S. Navy as an engineman. He married the love of his life, Anne M. MacArthur on December 2, 1983 and they raised their family together. Everet learned his love for the woods from his father, who was a logger, and then followed in his footsteps. He also worked road construction, was a heavy equipment operator, a semi-truck driver, worked at Hiawatha Log Homes and Empire Gas, but Everet always returned to the woods. He and Anne looked forward to “Wind Therapy” on his motorcycle taking a trip to Sturgis and annual trips to Blaney Park’s Rendezvous Bike Rally. On vacation to the Grand Ole Opry, they trailered their Harley so they could ride through the mountains of Tennessee. Everet loved hunting, fishing, throwing horseshoes and darts, bowling, playing pool, Tae Kwon Do, but most of all he loved deer hunting…even when Anne’s buck was bigger than his. Hunting camp was spent in an Army tent with many friends over the years, especially his buddy Shane Bugg. Last year, he was especially grateful for the time taking his grandson to camp. Everet was a social butterfly, and he loved shooting the shit.
Everet is survived by his wife – Anne McNally of Munising; children – Colin (Brieanna “Breezy”) McNally, Michael Everet McNally, and Pamela (David) Doherty all of Munising; grandchildren – Quentin (Willow), Brody, Kelvin, Logan, Jackson, and Evelyn; siblings – Clare (Denise) McNally, Clifford “Kip” (Patricia) McNally, and Tina (Ken) Kleeman; in-laws – Bill MacArthur, Tom (Donna) MacArthur, Pam (Ron) Leffel, Danelle (Jeff) Holcomb, and Kris (Bobbie Jo) MacArthur; numerous nieces and nephews who loved Uncle Everet, and many others who loved Everet and Anne like parents. He was preceded in death by his father Clifford McNally, his mother Marilyn (Beverly) Kroupa, his son Clifford Leo McNally, his sister Susan McNally Witty, and beloved nephew and best friend Dennis Fetterhoff.
Family and friends are encouraged to wear flannel and drive their motorcycles to the visitation and service. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at the Bowerman Funeral Home in Munising from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and then on Wednesday the 18th, from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins at 11:00 a.m. Nephew, Pastor John Fetterhoff will conduct Everet’s service.
