Harry F. Boucher, age 95, of Wetmore, died at the Jacobetti Home for Veterans in Marquette on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. He was born on June 5, 1929 in Munising to Ernest and Mary (Schilling) Boucher. His mother died when he was a young child and his father married Anne Fraiser and together they raised Harry and Sandy. Harry grew up in Munising and attended Wm. G. Mather High School. He married Nan Taube in 1950 and together raised their three daughters. Harry was stationed in Germany while serving in the U.S. Army from January 2, 1951 until December 26, 1952. After his honorable discharge, he returned home to his family in Munising. Harry was very proud of his service to our country while he was in the Army. Harry worked for Kimberly Clark for over forty years and retired from the Maintenance Department. He married Mary J. (Hood) Corey on September 21, 1980. Harry was a member of Munising Lions Club and Moose Lodge. Harry loved to cut wood, care for his lawn, garden and grouse hunt. He was always active and enjoyed the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of over forty-four years – Mary Boucher of Wetmore; daughters – Margaretta (D.J. Raica) Larson, Christie (Stan) Gerou, and Suzanne Boucher; stepson – John (Kelly) Corey; grandchildren – Karin, Jennifer, Cori, Angela, Stan, Jaimie, Heather, Sarah, Samantha, William, Jeff, Mary Grace, Taylor, and Adam; and numerous great-grandchildren. Harry was preceded in death by his parents Ernest, Mary, and Anne Boucher, stepson David Corey, and sister Sandy (Frank) Richardson.
Services will take place in the Veterans section of the Maple Grove Cemetery on Friday, June 20, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. Military honors will be rendered by the Alger County Veterans Honor Guard and prayers will be led by Pastor Jason LaFlamme.
