Janice Lee (Czechowski) Reeves
October 31, 1946 — February 27, 2017
Janice Lee Reeves, age 70, of Marquette and formerly of Munising and Shingleton died on Monday evening, February 27, 2017 at her home under the care of her family and U.P. Home Health and Hospice. She was born on October 31, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to the late John and Virginia (Antio) Czechowski. Jan graduated from Cody High School and attended St. Christopher’s Church in Detroit. She married Gerald A. Reeves on January 27, 1968 and together they raised their family. Jan was a homemaker and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She loved playing Euchre with her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, enjoyed playing Bingo, and always looked forward to taking a Sunday drive.
Jan is survived by her husband of forty-nine years – Gerald Reeves of Marquette; their children – Charleen (Chris) France of Endicott, NY, Jerry Reeves, Jr. of Marquette, Rebecca (Kevin Osborne) Dwight of Eben Junction, and Sharon J. Reeves of Munising; grandchildren – Alana, Amara, Bryce, and Devyn; brothers – Fred Chehov, Raymond Czechowski, Kenneth Czechowski, and Dennis Czechowski; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jan was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Debbie Sylvester and Beverly Orr.
Services will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home in Munising on Friday, March 3, 2017. Visiting time will be from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Pastor Jason LaFlamme will conduct Jan’s memorial service at 2:00 p.m.
