Jeannine (Passinault) Fromm

Munising

Jeannine Fromm, age 64, of Munising, died Friday, November 16, 2018, at her home, following a courageous eight-year battle with cancer.  She was born on December 25, 1953 to the late Louis and Sylvia (Wing) Passinault.  Jeannine graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School and then earned her Beautician’s Certificate.  She married Richard Fromm on October 15, 1976.  Jeannine owned and operated her salon the Shear Shoppe out of her home, and cut and styled hair for forty years.  She loved gardening, cooking, playing guitar, and anything crafty.  Jeannine would decorate, make costumes, and bake the best cakes for her children’s parties.  She also loved hosting Wednesday night card parties with family, and no matter where the party was, Jeannine would bring dessert.  She had a love for animals that went outside just dogs, the Fromm Zoo had dogs, chickens, bunnies, pheasants, and many other furry and feathered friends.  Jeannine and Dick enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors, whether it was hunting for turkey and partridge, sailing on Munising Bay, riding the ATV across the U.P., or on their motorcycle across the Midwest, they loved being out in nature.  They also enjoyed wintering in Texas near Corpus Christi.

Jeannine is survived by her husband of forty-two years – Dick Fromm of Munising; children – U.S. Army Colonel Richard (Lisa) Fromm of San Antonio, TX, Tammie Nyman of Minneapolis, MN, and Mara (Edward) Becks of Waconia, MN; grandchildren – C.J., Cole, and Clay Fromm, Brent Nyman, Christina (Shane) Linehan, and Noah Becks; great-grandchildren – Madison, Brooklynn, and Lucas; siblings – Tim Passinault, Pat Whittington, Jim (Diane) Passinault, and Tom Passinault; sister-in-law – Sue Passinault; brothers-in-law - Vincent (Kris) Fromm and Robert (Nancy) Fromm; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Sylvia and brothers Jon and Greg Passinault.

Fr. Chris Gardiner will celebrate Jeannine’s memorial Mass on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Munising.
