Jennie "Toots" M. Bazinet, age 84, of Woodland Avenue, AuTrain, died on Tuesday morning, December 26, 2006 at the Tendercare Health Center in Munising. She was born on May 11, 1922 in Ishpeming to Mike and Dora (nee Lajoie) Mosca. Jennie married Henry "Hank" Bazinet on March 22, 1947. They were married over fifty-eight years when he preceded her in death on February 26, 1984. Toots was a homemaker and a faithful member of St. Therese Catholic Church in AuTrain. She enjoyed working on crafts, crocheting, watching television, and working on crossword puzzles. Jennie loved following the Detroit Tigers and Atlanta Braves baseball teams. Everyone knew that if they visited Toots during a game, they were not going to get a lot of conversation out of her.
She is survived by her sister - Rose Bullis of Negaunee; brother - Marshall (Marion) Randall of Ishpeming; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jennie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Hank, brothers Gregory, Albert, and Martin Mosca and sisters Frances Mager and Mary Swanson.
A funeral Mass for Jennie will be celebrated by Fr. Chris Gardiner at St. Therese Church in AuTrain on Friday, December 29, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Serenity Pines Cemetery in AuTrain.
