Judith “Judy” E. Silverstone (nee Johnson), age 75, of Munising and formerly of Foster City and Suomi died unexpectedly at her home following a brief illness. She was born in Iron Mountain, Michigan to the late Kenneth and Marion (Swanson) Johnson. She graduated from Felch High School in 1968. Judy married Errol G. Silverstone on January 30, 1971 and together they raised their two children. She worked at Norlite Nursing Center in Marquette for thirty years and retired as the dietary supervisor. Judy enjoyed knitting, reading romance novels, puzzles, and listening to The Oak Ridge Boys. She also enjoyed playing the piano and shared her talents as an organist at the Methodist Church in Palmer and Mission Covenant Church in Foster City. Judy loved being with her family and snuggling with her cats.

She is survived by her children – John (Shari) Silverstone of Suomi, MI and Nancy (Mark) Micallef of Munising; granddaughters – Heidi (Tom Wu), Melodi, and Harmoni Silverstone; brothers – Gordy, Gary (Fay), and Danny (Heather) Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Errol, and infant brother Bruce.
