Kathi (Kusmirek) Donnelly

Munising

Kathi Donnelly, age 61, of Munising, died Friday, December 30, 2016 at her home under the loving care of her husband and North Woods Home Hospice.  She was born in Munising on March 6, 1955 and raised here by her father Stanley Kusmirek and grandmother Anna Fox.  Kathi was a member of the Silver Echoes Drum and Bugle Corps.  She graduated from Sacred Heart School and then from Wm. G. Mather High School in 1973.  Kathi married Murray Donnelly in 1999.  They enjoyed going on road trips and spending time at camp in Grand Marais.  Kathi enjoyed working in the garden, playing with her dogs, and caring for her grandkids and attending their functions.

She is survived by her husband – Murray Donnelly of Munising; children – Bryan (Jen) Behning of Munising, Erica Peterson of Iron River, David Donnelly of Marshfield, MI, and Kathy (Charlie) Donnelly-Widner of Port Saint Lucie, FL; siblings – Tom Kusmirek, Skip Kusmirek, and Barb Hoos all of Munising; grandchildren – Mason, Taylin, Carmon, Dane, Courtney, Deon, Kaylee, Vance, Hunter, Elle, Trinity, Aaron, Lucy, Justin, and Taylor; numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.  Kathi was preceded in death by her father Stanley and sister Judi Marsh.

A memorial gathering celebrating Kathi's life is set for Monday, March 6, 2017 at The Barge Inn in Munising from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
