Leola Frances (nee Mercier) Dunn, age 94 of Munising and formerly of Portage, Indiana, died Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Tendercare Health center in Munising. She was born in Munising on May 19, 1922 to the late Leo and Ethel (Dutcher) Mercier. Leola lived in northwest Indiana for fifty-nine years before returning home to Munising. She loved her grandchildren very much.
Leola is survived by her daughters – Marilyn Jancosek of Hobert, IN and Bonnie (Phil) Miller of Munising; four grandchildren – Jill and Matthew Jancosek and Phillip (Melissa) and Jason (Allison) Miller; greatgrandchildren – Ashley, Kacey, Aaron, James, Nicholas, Jane, and Lily; great-greatgrandchildren – Emerson and Greyson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband – Victor Dunn; and siblings – Virginia, William, Francis, Leo, Delbert, Ethel Mae, and Viola.
