Lillian C. Lasak , age 91 of Munising, MI passed away on Sunday morning March 25, 2007 surrounded by her three children at Christian Park Village, Escanaba, MI, where she resided for the past two years.
Lillian was born on November 5, 1915 in Munising and was the daughter of John and Sophia Pearsic. On September 11, 1937 Lillian married Joseph Mitchell Lasak at Sacred Heart Church where she was a lifetime member. She was employed at the Munising Paper Mill, Co-op Store, and People Store. Lillian loved her family and enjoyed cooking and caring for all of them. She had a special love for animals and her favorite pastime was visiting with her friends and neighbors on her front porch. Her faith and devotion to our Blessed Mother was very important to her.
Lillian is survived by her son - Gerald (Donna) Lasak of Munising; two daughters - Joann (James) Aird of Wells, MI, Connie (Del) Johnson of Escanaba, MI; nine grandchildren - James Aird Jr. and friend Sue Vertz, Rick (Diana) Aird, Cindy (Cory) Carter, Robynne (Ted) Woodaz, Rita (Dean) Seaberg, Joseph (Nicole) Lasak, Lisa (Rob) Cieslikowski, Carlene (Randy) Higby, Roger (Cecilia) Johnson; eight great grandchildren ; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph; two brothers - Theodore and Joseph Pearsic; three sisters - Blanche Sowa, Julia Wrona, and Sister Vivian Clare. A Visitation will be held at Bowerman Funeral Home in Munising on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 from 5:15 until 8:00 p.m., with a Parish Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Lillian's funeral Mass will be at Sacred Heart Church on Thursday, March 29 at 11:00 a.m. Her burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in the spring.
