Linda S. Cotey, age 73, of Munising, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.  She was born on August 22, 1949 in Munising to the late Lewis and Edith (Nybeck) DesJardins.  Linda grew up in Munising and graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School in 1967.  She worked at Wieland’s Restaurant and at the Ben Franklin.  Linda married Joseph H. Cotey on July 19, 1971 and together raised their two sons.  She worked at First National Bank and then First of America as a teller and loan officer.  Linda retired in 2000.  She and Joe enjoyed camping on Grand Island, taking trips to the casino, working in the woods getting ready for deer season, snowmobiling, picking berries, and spending Saturday nights playing cribbage and drinking coffee with Joe’s parents.  They were married over thirty-one years when Joe preceded her in death on October 5, 2002.  Linda was a talented seamstress, quilter, crocheter, and knitter.  Her sewing machine was always on the table.  Linda spent her life selflessly taking care of people.  She opened her home to family and friends in a loving and caring way and Linda’s coffee pot was always on for all.
