Lori Ann Glaister, age 59, of Munising, died at her home unexpectedly on Sunday, July 5, 2026 following a brief illness. She was born on March 20, 1967 in Howell, Michigan to the late Durl and Linda (Mercier) Bradley. Lori grew up in Munising and graduated from Munising High School in 1985. She worked at Dickinson County Hospital for a period of time, but Lori’s calling was to be caregiver and loving homemaker. She was a foster parent who gave love to all who needed care. Lori adopted three of her foster children and raised her grandchildren. She was a pet lover who never met a stray she didn’t like. Lori met Scott Glaister and they were married on June 8, 2019. They enjoyed playing Yahtzee and singing and dancing while listening to music around their home. Lori cherished her trip with Scott to Florida. She loved being at the beach and enjoyed soaking up the sun’s rays even if it was just in the driveway. Lori enjoyed shopping with the girls and working on diamond art. She enjoyed gardening and was proud of the veggies she grew. Lori loved her family and enjoyed being with them.
Lori is survived by her husband – Scott Glaister of Munising; children – Faith (Malcolm Jones) Matzen of Munising, Nicole Matzen of Munising, Harley DeFiore of Marinette, WI, Olivia DeFiore of Oregon, and Justin DeFiore of Iron Mountain; grandchildren – Arianna, Hunter, Benjamin, Serena, Riley, Marcel, Arthur, Greyson, Skylah, Aaliyah, and Ophelia; sister – Robin (Robert) Brown; stepchildren – Scott Jr., Savanah, and Madeline Glaister; stepmother - Dorothy “Dot” Bradley; stepsiblings – Kim and Bob Vick; and many other beloved family members. She was preceded in death by her parents Durl and Linda Bradley and brother David Bradley.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at the Munising Wesleyan Church. Visiting time with family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Pastor James Petersen will conduct Lori’s memorial service at 12:00 noon with a luncheon at the church to follow.
