Marjorie "Marj" Wallace

Marjorie “Marj” Wallace, age 79, of Escanaba and formerly of Munising, died Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers, Michigan.  She was born on September 29, 1938 in Buffalo, New York to the late Delbert and Marian (Gund) Dains.  Marj was a graduate of Jordan College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science.  She moved to Munising in 2000 and enjoyed her many friends she made at the Manor.  Marj would often be a part of organizing, cooking, and having fun at the activities there.  She loved the outdoors, walking, watching Lake Superior, and trips to Miners Castle.  Marj also enjoyed trips to the casino to play penny slots, reading books about local history, and playing on her Kindle.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law – Kim and Kevin Younger of Escanaba; granddaughters – Erica Younger and Amanda (Matt) Biccigo; great-grandchildren – Matthew and Colin; brother – Ronald (Sylvia) Dains; and nephew and niece – Christopher and Patricia.  Marj was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Patricia Dains.
