He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Cynthia "Cyndy" Hanbaum in 1985, brother Don Bowyer, Jr., and sister Betty Wilder.

Services will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home in Munising on Friday, August 28, 2015. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
