Nancy Susan (Golisek) Beauchaine

Nancy S. Beauchaine, age 48, of Munising, died early Friday morning, December 1, 2017 at her home under the loving of her family and North Woods Home Hospice.  She was born on September 27, 1969 in Munising, Michigan to Jan and Sue (Martin) Golisek.  Nancy grew up in Munising and graduated from Munising High School in 1989 and then attended Bay de Noc College.  She went to work at Timber Products and then for the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians as a community health technician.   Nancy married Terry A. Beauchaine on November 2, 2003 and together raised their family.  Nancy and Terry were true soulmates were blessed to have their fourteen years of marriage together.  During their marriage, Terry converted Nancy from someone who tolerated camping to someone who loved camping.  They camped as a family every chance they could.  Some of their favorite places included Grand Island, Indian River, Grand Marais, and Indian Lake.  Nancy made sure they were able to get to Grand Island this past summer and she also made sure the entire family could be together at Disney World last year.  Nancy was a member of the United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.  She loved spending time with her family and always included her dog, Max.  Nancy loved those she loved unconditionally.

She is survived by her loving husband and friend – Terry Beauchaine; their children – Jordan, Molly, Selby, Maggie, and Sydney Beauchaine; parents – Sue and Jan Golisek of Munising; parents-in-law – Terry and Margi Beauchaine of Munising; brother – Jan (Tina Mannisto) Golisek II of Munising; twin sister – Brenda (Howard) Mannisto, Jr of Munising; sister – Deserèe Golisek Bosley of Munising; brother-in-law – Jeff (Cheri) Beauchaine of Munising; nieces and nephews – Melissa, Kendra, Michael, Jan III, Emily, Stephanie, Hanna, Ally, Shawna, Jessica, Henry, Riley, and Ryder; and grandmother – Margaret Martin.  Nancy was preceded in death by her grandparents – Marguerite Cremer, Lois and Carl Golisek, and Leonard Martin; brother-in-law – Daniel Beauchaine; and niece Olivia Bosley.

Services will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home on Monday, December 4, 2017.  Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.   Pastor Sandra Kolder and Pastor Jason LaFlamme will conduct Nancy’s funeral service at 5:00 p.m.  Interment will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising at a later date.
