Nancy Blackford

Nancy Marie Blackford, age 79, of Munising, died Monday, June 2, 2025 at UPHS in Marquette. She was born on October 30, 1945 in Detroit to Boyd and Jeam (Pyhra) Clark. Nancy grew up in Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth High School. She earned her registered nursing degree from Schoolcraft College in Livonia. Nancy worked as a nurse in a mental health institution and at a prison. She moved to the Upper Peninsula in the 1990’s and purchased Christmas Sports. Nancy returned to nursing and worked at Alger Max and Munising Memorial Hospital. She loved snowmobiling, kayaking, and hanging with her girlfriends.

Nancy is survived by her son – Tim Blackford of Howell; grandchildren – Jessica (Josh) Cole and Timothy (Jennifer) Blackford; great-grandchildren – Asher, Joelle. Jacey Mae and two more on the way. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her son Patrick Blackford.
