Nichole “Nikki” Marie Roberts-Howard, age 41, of Munising, died Monday, November 3, 2025 at her home. She was born on April 25, 1984 at K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base to Angel (Koch) and Wayne Roberts. Nikki grew up in Munising and attended school here and completed her schooling at Michigan Youth Challenge Academy in Battle Creek. She was an outgoing and hard-working person. Nichole worked as a waitress at Jeffery’s Restaurant in Marquette, Border Grill, and housekeeper at Pictured Rock Suites and Munising Motel. She loved her children very much and had a sparkle in her eye every time she talked about or held a grandchild. Nichole loved flowers, especially lilies and African violets, swimming in Lake Superior, and walking her dog Minnie. She loved her hometown and the community that surrounded it.

Nichole is survived by her children – Lillian Tripp of Munising, Darian Tripp of Midland, MI, and Faith Howard of Marquette; grandchildren – Sophia Roberts and Westin Tripp; mother - Angel Koch of Sundell; father – Wayne (Susan) Roberts of Huntsville, AL; brother – Jordan Roberts; grandfather – Ora Koch; stepfather – Tom Travis; longtime companion – Jesse Schultz; husband – Curtis Howard; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents – June Frances Koch, Bill Roberts, and Mary Waltz; and uncle – Dave Doherty.
