Pamela Sue Roberts

Pamela Sue Roberts, age 76, of Munising, died at her home following a lengthy illness on April 12, 2026. She was born in Munising on April 3, 1950 to William “Bill” and Frances “Shorty” (Morrison) Roberts. Pam grew up in Munising and graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School in 1968. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Eastern Michigan University. Ms. Roberts taught special education for the Marquette Alger Intermediate School District, the Eastern U.P. Intermediate School District, and Plamann Schools in Appleton. Pam took a break from teaching and earned her LPN from Bay de Noc and worked at Superior Shores. She returned to teaching in the New Buffalo Area Schools and retired after twenty-nine years in special education. Pam came home to Munising to help care for her parents in 2006. She was very active with the Order of the Eastern Star and was a life member of the Munising Chapter. Pam was a Past Honored Queen of Job’s Daughter Bethel 43 of Munising, she served as Worthy Matron numerous times, Associate Matron, Conductress, Marshall, all Five Star Points, Past Grand Esther, and Past Grand Committee member, and Past President of Cloverland District Association. Pam was also active with the United Methodist Church and the Alger County Food Pantry. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, walking in the woods and on the beach, camping, reading, spoiling her cats, and spending time with friends.

Pam is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law – Ronald and Maureen Roberts of Mendenall, MS and Terry and Darlene Roberts of Munising, MI; nephews – Jason (Andrew) Parker-Roberts, Andy (Lynda) Roberts, and Terry D. Roberts; great nephews – Hakon and Karson Roberts. She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Shorty and brother Bill Roberts.

Services will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at the United Methodist Church, 312 Lynn Street, Munising beginning with an Order of the Eastern Star service at 4:00 p.m. followed by Pastor Sean Trudgeon officiating Pam’s memorial service. Interment will be at a later date at the Maple Grove Cemetery.
