Patty Jean (Wheeler) Ray

PATTY WHEELER RAY 1937-2019

It is with great sadness that the family of Patty Ray announces her passing in Christmas, MI on April 7, 2019 after a valiant battle with a long illness.  Patty was born November 11, 1937 in Ashland, KY, the daughter of the late Arlie and Beatrice Wheeler.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Ray and her brother, Arlie Wheeler.

As a woman of faith and the heart of her family, she will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind.  She is survived by her daughter - Cindy (Matt) Lang; her son -  John (Libby) Ray; two granddaughters – Sarah Lang and Becca (Kyle) Lockmiller; two grandsons – Christopher and Aaron Ray; a sister – Barbara (Jerry) Moore; a brother – Earl (Jane) Wheeler; a sister-in-law – Joyce Wheeler; a brother-in-law – Gene Ray; and a host of nieces and nephews.

For those of us who knew her well, we rejoice in the belief that all of her “Nana questions” have finally been answered.

There will be no visitation or formal service for Patty.  She didn’t want one.  There will be a private family ceremony at the Ashland Cemetery at a later date.
