He was born on March 8, 1944 in Quebec, Canada to the late Ligouri and Maria (Lavoie) Boucher. He took a job with the Columbia Veneer plant in Presque Isle and worked there for twelve years. In 1975, he and his young family moved to the area with other families from Maine. They came together and worked at CCI and then Timber Products. Reg retired as a supervisor in 2004. On May 29, 1993, Reg married Andrea Butsic. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree. Reg enjoyed golfing at Pictured Rocks Golf Course, hunting, fishing, and he used to tie his own flies for his many flyfishing adventures. Reg enjoyed the winters filled with downhill and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. He was an Associate member of the VVA. Reg and Andrea enjoyed wintering in Panama City Beach, Florida and an occasional trip to the casino. Throughout his adult life he loved camping with his kids and he and Andrea had a number of campers and fifth-wheels they enjoyed traveling and seeing the sights in. Reg was a good friend to many, and he enjoyed his multiple coffee klatches throughout the week. He was a great supporter of Munising Mustang sports, and he cherished his family and grandchildren.
Reg is survived by his wife of over thirty-two years – Andrea Boucher; daughter and son-in-law – Teresa and John Benam; son – Terry Boucher; grandchildren – Ashley, Jason, Jamie, Jordyn, and Mikayla; great-grandchildren – Cameron, Coraline, Hazel, Jackson, Kaylee, Oaklynn, and Ryver; sister - Marcelle Michaud; and numerous nieces and nephews.
