Robert "Bobby" Hancock

             Robert “Bobby” James Hancock, age 69, of Munising and formerly of Wetmore, died following a lengthy illness on Saturday morning, February 17, 2024 at Munising Memorial Hospital.   He was born in Munising on July 25, 1954, the seventh out of eight children to Charles and Betty (Smith) Hancock.  Bobby grew up in Wetmore and attended school in Munising.  He worked construction with his dad and helped the neighborhood out with odd jobs that needed to be done.  Bobby enjoyed fishing, cutting trees in the woods, being outdoors, riding his bike to town, and he loved caring for his dogs.

            He is survived by his sister – Tina Hancock of Munising and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.   Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Sheena Nesberg, Charles Hancock, Jr., William “Billy” Hancock, Norman Hancock, Christina Hancock, and Nancy Powell.  

            Private family services will be held.
