Sadie Elizabeth Benson

Sadie Elizabeth Benson, age 74, of Eben Junction, died under the loving care of her family and North Woods Hospice at her home on Saturday, August 30, 2025. She was born on February 7, 1951 in Marquette to the late Leonard and Vera (Beaudry) Holm. Sadie grew up in south Marquette and graduated from Marquette High School. She was a homemaker and raised her children. Sadie married John L. Benson in 1986 and together worked on their family farm. She also worked at the Chatham Manor. Sadie volunteered for over forty years at the Nifty Thrifty. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, and she loved watching her grandchildren.

Sadie is survived by her husband – John Benson of Eben Junction; children – Bob Kurian of Eben Junction, Vera (Shawn) Beauchamp of Gwinn, Tom Kittell of Gwinn, and Michael (Mandey Sauer) Kittell of Eben Junction; step-daughters – Angela Hope Benson, Delores Benson, and Linnea (John) Benson all of North Carolina; grandchildren – Deseray, Bobby, Amber, Amanda, Tiffany, Rachel, Cody, Adam, Jacob, Daisy, Valerie, Heather, Ryan, T.J., Sammantha, and Autumn; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers – Joe Holm and Leonard “Peanut” Holm; sister – Susie Holm; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visiting time with family and friends will be on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at the Trenary Community Building in Trenary from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
