Sara Ann Caldwell, age 43, of Munising died unexpectedly, Tuesday, August 3, 2021 in Gwinn, Michigan following a year long illness.  She was born on June 23, 1978 in L’Anse, Michigan.  Sara’s family moved to Munising at a young age.  She enjoyed camping and loved music.  Sara had a great voice and would sing along to all of her favorites.  She loved her children and grandchildren very much.

Sara is survived by children – Laura and Micaila Syers and Kenny, Connor, and Trinity Caldwell; parents – Lori and Rod Maki and Lloyd Smale; grandkids – Ava Smith, Haley Vogelpohl, and Ryder Sherwood; sister - Rachel Damron; brother – Billy Smale; grandparents – Lloyd and Rosemary Smale; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents Frank and Signe Kruse and Bill and Lilla Maki and uncle Jay Treymann.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
