Sheila M. Karr

Munising

Sheila M. Karr, age 58, of Munising, died on Thursday afternoon, July 13, 2023 at UPHS Marquette following a brief illness.  She was born on August 15, 1964 in Newberry to the late David and Bernadine “Cookie” (Sampsell) Terry.  Sheila grew up in Lower Michigan and graduated from Webberville High School.   She earned her Certified Nurses Assistant certificate and worked at the Wilcox Health Care Center in Alma.  She married Lyle Enterline and together had a daughter and son.   Sheila and her family lived in Port Huron and Kinross while raising her children.  She moved to Munising and went to work for Tendercare as a C.N.A.  Sheila married Merle D. Karr on July 1, 2015 and they both worked at the Holiday Inn Express.  Her failing health forced her into retirement.  Sheila enjoyed being with her grandson.  She loved the outdoors and especially loved trips to the beach and kayaking.

She is survived by her husband – Merle Karr of Munising; daughter – Jodi Enterline of Munising; son – Kyle Enterline of Battle Creek, MI; grandson – Mathew Bruce; brothers and sisters-in-law – Robert and Bobbie Terry of Idaho and David and Barb Terry of Rudyard; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Sheila was preceded in death by her parents David and “Cookie” Terry, sister Cheryl Terry, and an infant brother.

A memorial gathering and time of visiting with family and friends will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
