Susan Kay Compton Hancock, born on January 23, 1954, passed away peacefully at home on June 20, 2025, at the age of 71, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Sue was born and raised in Munising, Michigan, where she grew up on “Diaper Alley,” surrounded by the beauty of the Upper Peninsula and the love of her family. In 2005, she moved to Wisconsin, where she was able to spend time with family.

Sue will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering resilience, and the deep love she gave to those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who were blessed to walk beside her through life.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Jody, and her cherished grandson, Jared, both of whom were the light of her life. Sue is also survived by her brothers Delbert, Jerry, and Harley, and her dear cousin Elaine, all of whom held a special place in her heart. She was preceded in death by her sister Mary and her brothers Bob, Keith, and Paul. She is also reunited in peace with her beloved parents, Lillian and Theodore Compton.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in honor of Sue’s life.
