Susan Ann (Kovach) Nazarko

Trenary

Susan Ann Nazarko (Nee Kovach), age 72, of Trenary, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, May 1, 2022.  She was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 5, 1949.

She's no longer with us, leaving her three children : Nicholas, Natalia and Gregory scattered in Texas, Louisiana and Minnesota, with two grandsons – Mason and Braeden - two granddaughters – Lillian and Grace – and a husband of 54 1/2 years - George.

She stayed with the children until the youngest was in school, then completed her education at NMU, earning her teaching certificate in elementary math.  She was employed as a math tutor at Superior Central, then switched to employment at NMU’s Seaborg center.

Thousands of children who attended academic functions which she managed at the Seaborg center, and hundreds of others of any age, to whose medical emergencies she responded with comfort and care in 20 years service as a Trenary first responder also might remember her.

As she wished, there will be no service, and her cremains will be scattered by her family at a later date.  No better way to honor her memory than to help someone who needs your help in her name.  Hug them when done.  She would have.
