Donna McNally (nee Peters) age 79, of Munising, died Friday, January 8, 2021 at Harbour View Assisted Living Center. She was born on June 14, 1941 in Munising, MI to the late Leo and Florence (Sommerville) Peters. Donna graduated from Wm. G. Mather High School in 1957. She married David Walsh and together they had their son Eugene. Donna raised Eugene and for many years they lived with and cared for Donna’s mother Florence. She began working for Kimberly Clark and became one of the first women machine operators and retired in 1996. She married Raymond McNally in 1979 and they were married for nearly thirty years when Ray died in 2008. Donna was a member of Eden Lutheran Church and enjoyed visiting with friends at her coffee klatch at the Dogpatch. Donna had quite a green thumb and loved spending time in her beautiful flower gardens.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law – Eugene and Lori Walsh of Munising; grandchildren – Lynsey (Brad) Landis of Cheboygan, MI, Samantha Walsh of Munising, and Ricky Walsh of Green Bay, WI; great-grandchildren – Logan, Chloe, and Eli; siblings - Lois “Snookie” Schimmel, Norman Peters, Ed (Iryna) Peters, and Doug (Roxanne) Peters; in-laws – Helen Peters, Eleanor Peters, Rose Peters, and Ron Aho; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands - David Walsh and Ray McNally; sisters - Beverly Aho and Elvera “Muggins” (Raymond) Koper; brothers - Leo “Junior”, Eugene, Russell, Charles, Robert, Ronald, and Jack; and in-laws – Bernie Schimmel and Janet Peters.
Donna’s graveside service will take place at a later date.
