Elizabeth (Ensley) Zimmerman

Elizabeth “Betty” Zimmerman, age 98, of Munising, died Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Medilodge of Munising.  She was born on July 4, 1923 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late Benjamin and Marie (Brandt) Ensley.  Betty was raised in Lansing and attended school there.  She married Ernest S. Zimmerman on June 29, 1946.  Betty was member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  She was very proud of her son Jack who served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War in the Military Police and then retired from Alger County Maximum Security Prison.

She is survived by her son – Jack Zimmerman of Pensacola, FL and formerly of Wetmore; daughter-in-law – Sue White of Lansing; and numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews.  Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernest, and sons Bob (Marilyn) and Larry White.
