G. Andrew Brown, age 42, of AuTrain and formerly of Blissfield, died unexpectedly late Friday evening, September 6, 2019. He was born at home in Ottawa Lake, Michigan, the fifth child of George and Kay (Hause) Brown on April 27, 1977, and raised in the Blissfield area.

In 1997, Andrew gave his life to Christ and began living as a servant of others first. Also in 1997, Andrew’s best friend became the love of his life He and Sara (Sellick) were married on March 27, 1999. Family was everything to Andrew and he treasured his life of raising six children with Sara. Andrew served in the National Guard. He worked with his father at Davidson Brown, Inc. where he was the fabrication manager and purchasing agent. He started the 4-Star Service Hardware store in the Toledo, Ohio area. Being a lifelong wood worker, Andrew was the visionary behind Great Lakes Wood Working in Adrian, Michigan. It was this entrepreneurial spirit that led to a number of business pursuits and finally brought the Brown family to the Munising area where he began working with Cross General Contracting in 2018 as an estimator and project manager.

Andrew’s imagination, creativity, artistic talents, intelligence, and love for learning were his driving force. However, Andrew’s true passion was people. Whatever he did and all that he involved himself in was meant to have a positive impact on the lives of those around him. This was Andrew’s life, whether prison ministry or helping young men find their niche in this life, he wanted to see lives changed for the better. Andrew’s dream was to help others reach their dreams and to see them introduced to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
