Hal M. Pantti

Hal M. Pantti, age 74, of Rumely, died on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at U.P. Health System in Marquette following a brief illness.  He was born on November 17, 1946 in Marquette, Michigan to Tauno and Olga (Seppi) Pantti.  Hal spent his youth growing up in Rumely and moved to Lower Michigan with his family at the age of 12.  He graduated from high school and then served in the U.S. Navy.  Hal was a graduate of Western Michigan University where he met and married Marguerite “Missy” Hunt.  Missy preceded in death on December 13, 2008.  Hal worked for and retired from Detroit Edison.  He enjoyed history, conversation, and especially the company, food and friends he had at the Eben Snack Bar.  Hal was a generous soul.

He is survived by his sister, Sandy Pantti.  Hal was preceded in death by his parents and wife Missy.

Military honors will be rendered by the Alger County Veterans Council on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Chatham.
