Kelly Marie (Int-Hout) Thorp

Kelly Marie Thorp, age 57, of Munising and longtime resident of Newberry, died on Friday afternoon, June 3, 2022 at UPHS – Marquette following a lengthy illness.  She was born on May 30, 1965 in Piqua, Ohio to the late Robert and Barbara (Howsmon) Int-Hout.  Kelly grew up in Ohio, Canada, and then Newberry.  She graduated from Newberry High School.  Kelly raised her children and was a cosmetologist at her shop “Golden Scissors” in Newberry.  She also worked as the supervisor for the Luce County campground and as secretary for the United Methodist Church and Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Newberry.  Kelly enjoyed being outdoors when her health allowed it.  As a family, they spent many wonderful summers camping together.  Kelly especially enjoyed spending time with her five grandchildren.

Kelly is survived by her daughter – Whitney (Tyler) Ducsay of Newberry; son – Jordan (Erin Holland) Thorp of Munising; grandchildren – Hope, Michael, Tristan, Channing, and Riley; brothers – Scott (Amy) Int-Hout of Engadine and Mark (Becky) Int-Hout of Wittenberg, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Barbara, her daughter Tiffany Marie Thorp, and her longtime love Michael Villemure.

Services will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home in Munising on Friday, June 10, 2022.  Visitation will be from noon until 2:00 p.m  Pastor Melinda VanderSys will conduct Kelly’s memorial service in the funeral home’s chapel at 2:00 p.m.
