Van Meer

Rebecca Sue “Becca” Livermore, age 31, of Van Meer, died surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at UPHS Marquette.   She was born on May 3, 1991 in Bay City, Michigan to Kerry and Gethyn (Gorsha) Way.  Rebecca and her family moved to Munising when she was seven years old.  She graduated from Munising High School in 2009 where she excelled at basketball, softball, and tennis, and she was awarded the Brenda Tannehill Female Senior Athlete of the Year Award.    Rebecca earned her bachelor’s degree from Northern Michigan University in three and a half years.   She went to work at CG Financial in Munising and enjoyed her job and enjoyed working for her boss and friend, Scott Palomaki.  Becca married the love of her life, Shane Livermore on July 14, 2012.  They created two more beautiful loves of their life with the birth of their daughters, Lennon and Presley.   Being a good mom and raising independent daughters was her greatest joy.  She loved her quiet life at home where their family enjoyed staying busy, doing their own thing, reading, and cooking.  Becca thought their family made a good team.  Rebecca loved where she lived.  She was a fun, practical, private, responsible, focused, driven, and stubborn no nonsense young woman who proudly did things her “Way.”

She is lovingly survived by her husband – Shane Livermore of VanMeer; their daughters - Lennon Lucille and Presley Ann Livermore at home; parents – Kerry and Gethyn Way of Munising; sisters – Amy Peterson of Marshall and Molly (Cody) Livermore of Marquette; parents-in-law – Brian and Connie Livermore of Sundell; niece  and nephews – Carson, Carter, Emmett, and Declan; grandparents – Roger and Dianne Gorsha of Richmond, TX, Joanne and Joe Pelletier of Marquette, and Fred Livermore of Van Meer; aunts and uncles – Greg (Kim) Gorsha, Brenda (Fred) Bratumil, Kevin (Lisa) Way, and Kim (Sandra) Way; numerous cousins; honorary sisters – Liane Sadak, Emily Cook and Ashley Aaron; and numerous honorary aunts and uncles.  Rebecca was preceded in death by her grandparents Jim “Von” Way and Fran Livermore.
